As an open-world survival game, building various structures is a significant part of Palworld.

All buildings/structures are unlocked with Technology points.

Palbox[]

Building will typically revolve around your Palbox. Anything built outside of the area of the Palbox that is designated with a faint blue outline will slowly deteriorate. Some buildings, such as the Ranch have to be built within this boundary. Pals will also try and stick to this boundary, actively avoiding fights and items that aren't inside.

The Palbox itself is able to level up when the player meets the requirements for each level. This will often require the player to build certain buildings that are typically relevant to the progression of the game, such as: Primitive Furnace or an abundance of Straw Pal Beds. Upon leveling up the Palbox, you will be allowed to use more pals within your base, up to a maximum of 15 and 20 with adjusted world settings. You will also be granted the ability to build an extra 2 "Bases" alongside the first. This is important for Farming, quick transport or specific material farms, such as an Ore farm.

Construction[]

Pals can be used as the labor in construction in large numbers. Labor laws are not expected to apply to Pals.

Certain Pals can be used for building and assisting in various construction tasks. These Pals are essentially creatures in the game that have unique abilities or traits that make them suitable for helping players construct buildings, gather materials, or perform other construction-related activities.

Pals like Lifmunk will keep you stocked with wood, while Fuddler can collect stone and ore. Set them to automated gathering mode.

Types[]

Buildings come in multiple types.

Main article: Production

These structures are used for resource gathering, such as logs or stone or creating compound resources, such as ingots or nails. Items in this category include things like workbenches, mills, furnace, logging camps, etc.

Structures related to Pals go here. These include ranching, breeding, condensing, directing, hatching, sphere assembly, etc.

Wood Structure Set[]

This is the first, and most basic, structure set available in game. It requires one to unlock the Wooden Structure Set (Tier 2 Technology item for 1 point) and allows one to then build the following:
