Maraith (Japanese: ソルレイス Solraith) is a Dark element Pal.

Appearance[]
Maraith is certainly a morbid-looking creature, bearing a black lion-like body with a massive, flared mane and purple pointed feet, which may possibly be meant to be hooves. The sickly pale face of this Pal is featureless and hollow, save for two piercing green eyes emanating from within. Positioned directly behind the mane are a pair of skeletal wings with a membrane made of blue-purple fire, and more of the same ghostly fire is present above its head and on the tip of its tail, which resembles a bony brazier.
Behavior[]
This Pal, being a nocturnal species, can only be found at night or in dungeons. They will still be able to spawn for a while after the break of dawn and won't completely disappear until the sun is actually visibly rising in the horizon.
If employed as a Base Pal, Maraiths will still continue working through the night, and won't need beds to accommodate them, as they never sleep. If not tasked with anything, they'll simply wander about the base. These traits are shared with all nocturnal Pals.

Trivia[]
- The Pal's name might be a combination of "mare", a type of demon said to induce nightmares or sleep paralysis by sitting on the sleeper and applying their weight on them, and "wraith", one of many synonyms for a ghost, spectre, phantom, etc.
- It could be based on a number of possible things, such as the manticores of Persian mythology, the helhest of Danish folklore, or general depictions of death omens and psychopomps.
- Maraith was featured in Paldeck No.072 on PocketPair X and youtube channel.
