Passive Skills are attributes or natures that Pals can have. They can give various buffs/debuffs to the Player or Pal.
They are obtained randomly in the wild and can also be passed down through breeding.
A Pal can have up to four Passive Skills at a time, but it is not possible to have multiple copies of the same Passive Skill on one Pal. However, multiple Passive Skills that carry boosts or downgrades to the same stat will stack additively with each other.
While most of the passive skills do exactly what they say they do, the ones affecting sale price have somewhat misleading descriptions: both price when selling and buying is affected, with Noble and Fine Furs affecting it favourably for the player (increasing the value when selling, and decreasing the value when purchasing), and Shabby affecting it unfavourably for the player (decreasing the value when selling, and increasing the value when purchasing).

Boss-Specific Passives[]
There are certain Boss Specific skills that can only be obtained by catching the Alpha Pals designed as bosses in the overworld, or Raid Bosses summoned at a Summoning Altar.
- Eternal Flame - Defeat the Raid Boss Blazamut Ryu, and hatch the egg received.
- Earth Emperor - Capture the Alpha Anubis.
- Lord of the Sea - Capture the Alpha Jormuntide.
- Celestial Emperor - Capture the Alpha Paladius.
- Lord of the Underworld - Capture the Alpha Necromus or Frostallion Noct.
- Ice Emperor - Capture the Alpha Frostallion.
- Divine Dragon - Capture the Alpha Jetragon.
- Siren of the Void - Defeat the Raid Boss Bellanoir Libero, and hatch the egg received.
- Invader - Defeat the Raid Boss Xenolord, and hatch the egg received.

- Currently, Earthquake Resistant's tooltip is incorrect. In-game it mentions "Earth damage" whereas the type is called "Ground".
