Transporting

Transporting is the ability to transport items from gathering stations and items scattered about in the base to storage units.

Regardless of skill level, all transporters from 1 to 5 will only carry single pieces off the ground when farmed from natural nodes like Stone, Trees, Ore or even the Ranch, as said items drop in stacks of 1. The skill levels however do affect how much they carry at a time from tasks such as the Logging Site, Stone Pit, Plantations or any large stack you drop;

• Level 1 = 2 items
• Level 2 = 5 items
• Level 3 = 10 items
• Level 4 = 20 items
• Level 5 = 40 items*

*Only for Knocklem, Wumpo, and Wumpo Botan as they are the only Pals with level 4 transporting that can reach level 5 through the Condenser. However, it is worth noting that even though they have the highest transporting skill they will always prioritize their other jobs first. For example, with level 3 Lumbering, they will prioritize cutting trees or working the Logging Site instead of transporting, making it redundant to use them in this role unless no trees remain and no Logging Site exists.

Work Speed buffs do not affect this in any way. It does not improve how many items they carry, or how fast they travel while carrying them. As such, recommended buffs are Movement Speed traits to increase the speed at which they move items, and/or Food and Sanity drain traits to help them work for longer periods before taking breaks.

Recommended Pal = Helzephyr - Found around the Verdant Grove and Northwestern shore of the Eastern Wild Island at night.

Level 3 transporting is its only job and can be upgraded to Level 4 through the Condenser for 20 items carry capacity. It is a fast Pal, travelling between node and chest at a quick pace, has a medium hitbox to find the "sweetspot" between nodes and closely placed chests, and it doesnt sleep, working day and night potentially collecting items missed during the day while other pals sleep.

Worksites that are considered 'tasks' rather than natural spawned nodes make use of transporting;

• All Mining Sites
• Plantations
• Large stacks dropped by player
