Treasure chests can be found all over Palpagos Islands and within its numerous Dungeons. Most chests are accessible without any special requirements, but the more valuable chests need a 
Copper Key, 
Silver Key and 
Gold Key depending on the area level.

Treasure chests are common throughout Palpagos Island and respawn daily.
Chest Farming Locations[]
The best locations in Palworld for frequent chest farming are the Dessicated Desert and Astral Mountains. These spots are great for obtaining valuable items from early to late game.
Unlocking Methods[]
Some chests don't require keys to be opened, but some are locked and require specific keys to open, which are:
These keys can also be found in other chests.
Pals like 
Mimog and it's Partner Skill can unlock treasure chests. Sometimes, Mimog may replace a treasure chest.
Lockpicking can also be used for unlocking treasure chest as well.
Types[]
Treasure chests can be split into six Grades.
| Grade one | Can be found in all regions, these chests don’t need a key to be unlocked. Their contents vary based on the location and can be recognized by their yellow glow. |
| Grade two | Only found on the low level starter islands, these chests needs a Copper Key to be unlocked. It always includes a schematic for low level gear.
|
| Grade three | Found in all regions, these chests don’t need a key to be unlocked. Their contents vary by location, but outside of dungeons, they typically contain a larger amount of  Gold Coin.
|
| Grade four | Located in the Forest, Desert, and Volcano regions, these chests needs a Silver Key to be unlocked. It consistently holds a schematic for gears appropriate to the level.
|
| Grade five | Found only in dungeons located in the Desert, Volcano, and Snowy regions, these chests don’t need a key to be unlocken. It occasionally appears in the final room of a dungeon. |
| Grade six | Found only in the Astral Mountains, these chests needs a Gold Key to be unlocked. It consistently holds a schematic for either the Refined Metal Armors, the Assault Rifle, or the Pump-Action Shotgun.
